Manifesto Moda project

Events Production

To celebrate Forum Viseu’s  14th birthday we planned Manifesto Moda (meaning ‘Fashion Manifest’), a fashion show, a debate and a small get together where everyone had the chance to learns and share their ideas and thoughts about sustainability and fashion.

Throughout the day we had two activities that allowed the visitors to participate in the manifest: a small swap market with many pieces of clothing available to be swapped for other fashion items and three wooden murals, entitled #omeumanifesto (meaning ‘my manifest’), where they could contribute by adding some paper cutouts of fashion magazines of pictures, letters, sentences and hashtags, using the decoupage technique.

During the evening we had a small performance by a hand pan musician in the central patio that allowed for a very inviting and calm environment. The patio was decorated with a plethora of small plants and trees, decorative elements made from recycled and reused materials as well as sustainable furniture lent by brands that believed in and followed values that were in line with the rest of this event.

By sundown we had a short debate about sustainability and fashion lead by Ana Rita Clara, Nica Gomes Graça and Fernanda Velez. Right after this was the start of the fashion show, presented by Maria Cerqueira Gomes, where we had in the runway fashion items from some of the different brands available in the shopping centre. To finish the night in a sweet note we had a small after party, with the Portugal Fashion DJ setting the mood, where the celebratory cake for the anniversary was cut and everyone had the chance to enjoy it as well as a very delicious glass of sparkling wine.
